Emerson watches TV

Sent this clip today and had to share it!  Very amusing.  However, it does raise serious issues and discussion points about the impact of TV on students.  On Friday I had Dr Tess Livingston (Child of Our Time) speak on a variety of issues.

The number of hours children spend in front of a TV was one of those issues and the negative impact it can have.  However, I do think there is a major shift taking place.  Less and less watch TV and more and more use phone and computer technology to watch shorter snappier clips.  What will the impact of this be?  Are they more interactive (or do they offer more chance for interaction)?  Is this a positive shift?  Comments, as always appreciated.
